Iko! Excursions will be going to The Ice Hotel and to Quebec City for the Winter Carnaval 3 times this year.  It is also a very popular trip.  Don’t forget to dress warmly!  The following Saturdays are the days of the trips:

Happy Holidays from Iko! Excursions

Hello everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone from Iko! Excursions.  We would like to thank everyone a safe and happy holidays, and a great big THANK YOU for coming out to all of our trips this year. 

We will be having one more day trip to Quebec City on December 12 to view the beautiful Christmas lights on Petit Champlain street.  After that, we will be taking a short break until January.

Mont-Tremblant

Hello everyone!

Every year, around the end of September, the trees in Northern Quebec blossom into an array of brilliant, fiery colours!  The hills and valleys display a breath-taking cornucopia of bright hues of red, orange, yellow.  The bright colours pierce the mind and the vision stays forever as some of the most awe-inspiring scenery ever seen.

Mont-Tremblant was absolutely beautiful this weekend!  We walked through nature trails of bright colours; we crossed tiny bridges and saw bubbling creeks tumble off into serene waterfalls.  The colours were as impressive as ever.

Be sure to come and see the colours of Mont-Tremblant at the end of September everyone!  It is simply something that should not be missed.  Don’t forget to see the pictures in our Photos section.  Happy Fall Colours everyone!

Festival De La Nouvelle France!

Hello everyone!

This is the festival of La Nouvelle France!  Everyone in the city dresses up as a character from the 1700s.  People walk around in streets decorated like back in the day.  Everyone laughs and drinks beer.  It is a great time!  I can’t believe that I had never been to this festival before!

I saw two ghosts, two natives, a multitude of colonists and even Samuel de Champlain himself!!  It was awesome.  Make sure to come next year to the Festival de la Nouvelle France!!

Beautiful Ottawa!

This month, we went to Ottawa twice to enjoy the parliament buildings, and to enjoy this beautiful clean and quiet city!

We were 48 people on July 4 and 82 people on July 11.  Pretty crazy times.  The Parliament is beautiful and the Museum of Civilization is top-notch!  I love this place.

Canada Day in Ottawa!

Hello everyone!

This week, we went to Ottawa to celebrate Canada’s 142nd birthday party!  We were 81 that came from all around the world to enjoy this huge celebration on Parliament Hill.  It was a great success.

First, we saw K’Naan and Sarah McLaughlin perform on the main stage.  Then we saw the fireworks right on top of the parliament buildings.  Everyone proudly waved the Canadian flag and cheered along with the fireworks.  This year’s fireworks were awesome.

The Maid of the Mist Niagara Falls

We had an excellent weekend last weekend in Niagara Falls and Toronto!  First, we saw the falls from the Maid of the Mist.  I took a cool video of the magical mists of the falls.  After that, we enjoyed the night life that Clifton Hills Street has to offer in the warm summer season of Niagara Falls.

Toronto was also an excellent experience!  We climbed the CN tower, visited St. Lawrence Market, stopped off in Chinatown, and ate a famous Toronto style Hot Dog.  It was an unforgettable experience.

Quebec City

Today we went to Quebec City and Montmorency Falls.  It was awesome.  First, we ran in a dandelion field beside Montmorency Falls.  That was a great experience.  After that, we had nothing but beautiful, fantastic weather in Quebec City.  It was sunny and warm all day.  Now, if you haven’t been to Quebec City in the summer, then really, you haven’t lived.  Quebec City is excellent in the summer.

Niagara Falls

This weekend, we went to Niagara Falls and Toronto for the weekend.  We had a great experience.  The weather was beautiful, and the falls were looking beautiful as always.

We went on the Journey Behind the Falls, where we got so close that we could almost touch the water off the falls.  After that, we had fun on famous Clifton Hill street.

In Toronto, we got to see the CN Tower, The City Hall, Chinatown and of course, The Eaton Center.  I ate a famous Toronto Hot Dog with ketchup and onions.  The seagulls tried to attack me.  It was a memorable and hilarious experience.

Hockey Night in Ottawa!

Hello everyone!

Today, we went to Ottawa for an Ottawa Senators’ Game!! It was an excellent experience. We watched as the home team Ottawa Senators beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 in a fast-paced action-filled game.

We ate free hot dogs, and we danced with SpartaCat, the official mascot of the Ottawa Senators. The NHL marketing department gave our group free tuques, programs and other merchandise that we raffled off in the bus. These were great souvenirs.

A big THANK YOU goes out to the NHL! Also to the Ottawa Senators Group Department! We had a fantastic experience, and we look forward to doing it again on April 7 against Boston!
