Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and a very beautiful city to visit about two hours from Montreal.

On this trip, we will see Rideau Hall – a beautiful grounds and the official residence of the Governor-General of Canada.  We will be able to see over 100 ceremonial trees planted by politicians and dignitaries from all around the world.

Next, we will go to the Museum of History – where the entire history of Canada awaits us in the most visited museum in Canada.  We will have a beautiful afternoon lunch at the Voyageur Cafe over-looking the Parliament, and then we will have free time to see the many exhibitions of the world renowned Museum of History.

After that, we will have a walking tour of Ottawa.  We will visit the outside of the majestic Parliament buildings, The Rideau Canal, The Famous Ottawa Spider, and finally The Byward Market.

We will also have some free time to visit the Rideau Canal, Major Hill Park, Sparks Street, and the Byward Market where even Obama himself visited in 2009.  We can eat gelato, or even a Beaver Tail if you would like!

Ottawa is quiet, beautiful, and full of fantastic opportunities for pictures. We will be home in time for supper. Come and join us for the ultimate Ottawa experience. 🙂
