||Ottawa is the capital of Canada and a great place to visit for a day trip from Montreal.
Imagine being here during the Canadian Winter – skating down the famous Rideau Canal, holding hands, stars up over-head, soft music playing in the background… SO romantic.
We will start the day at the Museum of History – the largest museum in Canada. It’s rich history and interactive fun will make you fall in love with the nation’s capital!
After some free time for lunch at the famous Byward Market, we will have an afternoon option to go skating on the world-famous Rideau Canal. This is the longest skating rink in the entire world that runs for 8 beautiful kilometers! Along the Canal, you can stop to buy coffee, hot chocolate or Beaver Tails. This is truly a unique Canadian experience.
Please note that if you have your own skates, skating on the Rideau Canal is free. Or, you can rent skates for $16. OR, you can do what many people do, and just WALK on the Canal (holding hands). It is great for pictures for Facebook, and so romantic (did I already mention that?).
This is going to be a great trip. Would you like to try a truly unforgettable, romantic, Canadian experience; and skate on the Rideau Canal?
See you in Ottawa everyone!
